The gums used in the formulation are Xanthum gum and Locust bean gum, which were proved as bioadhesive gums.
By successful usage of these gums buccal tablets of Losartan Potassium were prepared and evaluated for bioadhesive properties, ex vivo permeation, in vitro dissolution and mechanical properties.
