To add to the fun, the text is based on a song written by Sonja McGiboney .
The music and lyrics are provided at the end of the book and a video with music has been uploaded to Sonja's YouTube page for a fun sing-a-long.
The illustrations were created from photographs of Jazzy and abandoned houses from around Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.
The photos were taken by Sonja and then artfully arranged, cut, and/or pasted into a composite image.
After the image was created, Sonja used different filters in Photoshop to make the images appear more like illustrations.
